Kinguyakkii
Summary:
She had grown up in an adoptive family. Now she must find out if she fits in a world drastically different than the modernized America. Her parents live as nomadic Inuits, traveling everywhere by dogsled. Everyone in their village believes deeply in the presence of spirits, and each child is given a hear spirit at birth based on who they will be when the grow up. She has never had one, but upon first sight the angakuq gives her the revered spirit nannurluk.
All the heart spirits feed off the kinguyakkii, but there are few who feed on tonrar, and become tornuaq. One of the tornuaq feeds off the souls of the children in her small village. Can she muster up the strength, beleif, and trust she needs to defeat the tornuaq, or does she doom the village with her unbelief?
