The Lost Boy/Dave Pelzer
Health Communications, Inc., 1997, 303 pages
Biography

Dave Pelzer has never let us down in his writings. The Lost Boy is a book about how a 9 year old boy survives the beatings that his mother gives him daily.

Dave is a young boy who always is getting beat by his mother and always has to pay the games that his mom tells him to play. But in this book, Dave gets saved by an angel named Ms. Gold. Dave has to go to a Foster Home but he’s afraid that his mom is going to find him.

A weakness about this book is that Dave had to go through all this trouble to get away from his mom who is really mad but strength about this book is that he finally got away from her and that he got to know all the children in the foster home. They all got along but at first they made Dave do things to get him in trouble. I recommend this book to everyone because Dave Pelzer can write books for everyone’s age’s group and I mostly recommend this book to the people who have experienced this before to see how Dave Pelzer survived this tragedy.

When you read this book, be ready to have tears rolling down your face. I really enjoined reading this book because I can see how Dave Pelzer survived all the hard things in life that it threw at him.
