has his dream really come true?
1.) Before the great Mlk decided to present a speech
He had this vision or this hope referred to “I have a dream”
A vision of equality he saw through the people’s crimes
Because black and white was nothing but a boring TV screen in its time
The segregation and separation of such a community
Only showed the lack of support they had in areas like unity
People getting beat because the color of their skin
Or not receiving education because of the complexion of their pigment
Lynching and curse words thrown out on a daily
Kind of how people in Halloween throw out different candies
But when a world so full of hatred gets the best of attacks
We create a contaminated future constantly having to watch our backs
And what has this shown our kids? may I ask
2.) Every word dropped is n***** so small but so strong
It becomes a human trigger that some feel is wrong
Keyword “some” because not all understand the meaning
But if you think about it it’s not their fault because our generation is deceiving
So tense in a rival can’t even choose your seat a bus
Without being oppressed and attacked like that good old “Rosa parks”
Martin Luther king such an influence on us all
Made the blacks have confidence and stand up a little tall
But there’s always “that guy” that just can’t cooperate
He shot and killed Mlk in April, 4th, 1968
A peace maker of their time now lying cold in the ground
All because of a superior race their hope had slowly drowned
Today as of now 2013 do I think that things have changed?
No I actually believe that things have stayed the same
3.) Reinforcement needs to help remind them because of lack of memory
But how hard is not say “n*****” just out of my curiosity
Personally as a young black teen I believe we are Ponokisos saying “we obey the dream”
Because of brothers killing brothers instead of listening to their mothers and they disrespect each other while not providing for son’s and daughter’s
Our world is so corrupt poisoned by a lack of communication
But could we take a second to not say comments that are so racist?
Because if we could take a moment to appreciate all of our faces
God took 7 days to create a place where humans could roam freely
But that doesn’t happen If we cant obey the kings dreams
4.)I think you can change yourself and the people all around you because
Community means together and you could redirect the minds that surround you
But if one soul were to take a stand and fight with determination
We could heal our yellow brick road by convincing our nation
And to the republic in which It stands we will have peace justice and equality for those who are willing to make that dream happen
“five score years ago a great American In ,whose symbolic shadow” ……
We will follow their footsteps in
