Have you ever regretted something you’ve done?
Written, unbeknownst to you,
A chapter of your life you could have done without?
They say a flittering of a butterfly’s wings
Can cause a massive hurricane a thousand miles away
But did a single glance of yours
Single hesitation
Fail the success you could have had
Savage that which could have kept your dreams alive
Make all those that knew you disown all thought of you

What if the butterfly
Landed instead on the finger of the gardener
That just happened to be there
Working the backyard instead of that much needed lunch break
Because of that one wilty azalea bush

Hurricane Katrina could have been avoided

The author's comments:
Whoever reads this should realize that though the consequences and the guilt may never go away, that there is always a new path, not merely doom as this poem may inadvertently suggest.
Also, I welcome comments about my style of writing- there's always room for improvement!

I like this, but last line made me go, "wait, what? Did I miss something, here?"

&quot; You read too much!&quot; Balbulus was always saying. But what was she to do? Without words she would die, she&#039;d simply die.<br /> -Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke

I like your style, and the subject of the poem was different. I enjoyed it very much!
