What the grass perhaps feels
What the grass perhaps feels

A leaf daintily falling down can
End the frail life of a grass blade,
And the gentle pressure of a foot
 Can break its brittle bones.
The grass can feel the slither
Of a snake approaching his prey
And the steady spiraling of our Earth
That stakes our feet to ground.
Perhaps the grass lives in another world
Where every action is magnified and enhanced.
Perhaps it sees with invisible eyes
And gathers information unknown to man
Never will we know what wonders
 Lie beneath the land
That only grass has mind to experience
And hides away beneath its breast
