Colorblind
As the wind blows I still wait for him
Winter and ice make the world seem black and white
Soon his headlights bleed onto our road and dim
The car door slams, echoing trough the night
Pale white skin and mud brown hair
He looks like he could be in pain
My knight blows past me bringing bitter air
Our frigid kiss, the only thing that keeps me sane
He hangs his coat behind the door
A scarf, a hat, a pair of gloves
Another kiss, it leaves my lips so red and sore
His touch as gentle as a dove’s
For now we’ll sit and watch the snow so pure
Just the sound of wind amid The Cure
