Alive, skin tingling
a flutter of the heart
-a flashing smile a mile apart
You make me want to sing
Breath stopping-halting
by sight of you-a piece of art
-by simply glancing my way Cupid throws his dart
You dull my sense of logic and reasoning
I’m bleeding the tears
I’m screaming out
I’m fleeing doubt
I’m running from fears
I wish to blame you for the pain of the past two years
But I guess that’s what the nature of heartbreak is all about
