You're only out of options when you stop looking for them.

In a quiet town in Spain.

The residents were nowhere to be found.

This unspeaking town seemed empty to any transeúnte,

But the old saloon held all the mysteries.

Inside, the citizens of the town gather.

Bringing only their best clothing on.

They sang, drank, listened, and watched.

A proud lady danced in the middle of the room.

The inhabitants all were there to acknowledge her,

For she had turned one year older on that day.

All the townspeople were joyous to celebrate one of their own.

Families bustled in together, men of quarrels sang side by side.

The mariachi group played their reliable instrumentos conjointly.

Everyone knew this day could only last until the sun went down.

Then it was off to their quarters with families and friends,

walking down their senda de retirarse to small soft casas.

But for now, the amusement and bliss and charm is comfort.

Emotions are high as all remember the gift of each other.

The excitement of this grand event feels interminable.

(The idea of this poem was to recognize both the art piece and what it shows but also the culture that it brings through the idea that this is set in Spain or “Spanish” culture so I used latin for the title but I used Spanish words inside of the poem itself as well as wrote about Spanish culture in my understanding.)
