When I came to the world 

Lifeful and young

I was filled with excitement and joy

I would just run around 

With no reason to cry

Because everything was alright 

When the world fell apart

Silent and fast

I was left with a hole in my heart

So I promised one night

That I'd fight with my life

If it meant they'd be alright 

When I battled the world 

Tired but strong

I found that it wasn't enough 

Filled with wounds and with scars

I looked over my life

And saw that I wasn't alright 

When the world quieted down 

Peaceful and calm

I felt all of their love fill my heart

That's when I realized

That I'd finally found

A good reason to be alright
