A Star's Soul
A soul's cub
begging for eyes
pure and unfed
wished for life.
soon enough
the shooting star came through,
eyes flourished
life became true.
did the star come by?
no. rather a heavy cloak,
disguised in regret
like a spiral full of smoke
smoke from a huge fire
life in its inner core.
but the raging heat and wind
found a straight hole
miles up and about
layers burnt and sewed
a soul's heart finally fed.
was it worth it though?

This piece is about someone and everyone who wanted a spark so badly, they sacrificed a part of them for it. Their soul might've been fed but was it worth the hunger?
