Earth Song
Sun is shining brighter
Wind blows back my hair
Cool rain drops tickle my skin
In this world with no care!
Birds are singing melodically.
Flowers dancing in the breeze.
Bicycle tires click by.
Locusts chirping in the trees.
Music of the world,
With the spotlight of the moon.
No permission needed,
To hear it’s sweet tune.
waves slap along white sands
A kite splashes color againt blue skies.
serene mountains sprinkle snow
While the old oak tree sighs.
Mother nature gives us gifts,
But only the still may enjoy,
The offerings she may bestow.
Like a dog and his boy
Let the earth sing its song
Let a child be a child
May adults find laughter
An elder find it’s youth.
May every evil find it’s happiness
May every lie find it’s truth.
Can every person acquire peace?
Must all people lose their green?
While the sun filters
Through the green canopy
Rest your eyes for the moment
Find a moment of glee!
Listen to the shushing song
of leaves on a tree
find tranquility under the branches
Close your eyes and let your mind see!
