Detonate
Shaking, burning,
Stand before the eyes of hundreds.
Shaking, burning,
The first notes from out your flesh will
Hiss like fuses until your chest
Swell, throat swell, heart swell, song swell and
Burst on all the hundreds. Leave them
Shaking, burning.

This is a very modified rondelet. I've ignored rhyme and inserted an extra line before the final refrain, but it does follow the appropriate syllabic pattern (aside from the fact that there's an extra line). I rewrote a version that strictly follows the form, but it just doesn't have quite the force of the original.
