Rubs, the wrong way.
Sings, the right way.
Lifts me to the stars,
but runs the other way.
Calls, so loud, it blocks out
all other sounds.
Take a step back.
Look at me,
I'm not you, but
you never realized.
You were too caught up
in yourself,
in your fantasies,
to see that
I wasn't hiding from
failure,
I was hiding from
you.
