~~Isn't it funny how the most important things in life aren't things?~~

I try to fit in.
It just isn't me.
I'm not like that.
I don't want to be.

I try to survive.
I brush off their words.
My only companions
Are losers and nerds.

I try to dress well.
I never succeed.
I can't affored clothes
From American E.

I try to be cool.
It just isn't right.
All of my actions
Are dumb and uptight.

I try to be nice,
But nobody cares.
All that I get
Are giggles and stares.

I try to fit in.
It just isn't me.
I'm not like that.
I don't want to be...

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after thinking about someone I know who goes through something like this. Although it is a sad poem, don't just think about the outcast. Think about the people who caused the outcast's pain. Are you like them? Do you treat someone horribly? Think about it.
