Hello Old Friend.

When was it last?
As I sat with paper and pen
Time moves so fast
Yet they've both been a friend
A place to speak
is what they provide
When I'm afraid
it's where I hide
Between the lines
Within the ink
The only place
I clearly think
Don't taint my world
My secret place
It can't be poisoned
With sour taste
So I shall say hello old friend
My one lined paper
And ballpoint pen
