Memory Carved Deep
I hate how every time I see your face
My hearts pangs with sorrow and regret
I'll never forget what you did to me
It may be part of growing up
But it left a scarlet wound none the less
My heart was torn
And you left me confused
Not knowing what to do
And not wanting to talk to anyone
You left me there as a hopeless mess
I admit it's part my fault
To blind to see through your charade
To stupid to notice the smirk in your eyes
I admit to being naive
But how could you be so uncaring and unkind
A black swirl of lies came from those lips I once kissed
As you raised my hopes and lead me on
But that's the past, what's done is done.
For now you're just a memory carved deep in my mind
