Never Grow Up
Reflecting on your past reminds you just how far you've come. & then you notice how much you have ahead of you. I couldn't wait to turn 13, but after it was over I've been wanting to revisit my past for so long. I didn't want to grow up because I realized how fast everything was coming at me or leaving my way. I realized how sad age could move a person & I was stuck, but when someone asked me "Why would you want to relive something that's already happened?", it woke me up. ...I realized I need to move on because I wasn't getting anywhere savoring each thing. I mean..I still like to do that, but we're just going to have to deal with growing up. A birthday...another year...another number. Just like we've been counting, since we could talk. Learning something new everyday, catching on is part of it.
