Ode to Life
There are not many things I could do
Except sit here and wonder why
But I will always be here for you

Sometimes I think that if I knew
There might have been something to try
But there are not many things I could do

You’ve always been the one who
Would help me when I wanted to cry
So I will try to be there for you

I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through
And when it really hurts, please lie
Because there are not many things I could do

I wish it were me that this happened to
And I wish you never had to die
Why couldn’t I have been there for you?

The words I’ve said were very few
I was never ready to say goodbye
But now there are not many things I could do
Because I wasn’t there for you
