Time Portal
I have a time portal for all to see,
Its a photo album with pictures of memories,
I relive the moment of both time and place,
My senses tingle with the remembrance of a breeze in my face,
The smile in each scene are genuine not posed,
It warms my heart to the point tears begin to unload,
I travel farther in time with each new page,
My grandad's alive, my family is together, and we're all young in age,
You and I are still holding hands,
Wearing goofy smiles saying our love will never end,
I feel our lips together pressed,
I swear your in front of me your warmth your chest,
the embrace the hug,
everything even the bug,
that came down giving you a fright,
I laughed far too hard that night,
I travel further in the time machine,
To a birthday party out in the green,
I ran and ran the sun was so bright.
It was a beautiful day trapped in a loving light,
My mother and father before me they stand,
I blow out my cake candles...one still burns so I try again,
I'm surrounded by friends who in present time are all gone,
We play hide-n-seek, freeze tag, and everything fun,
I now travel back to my birth,
A new baby starting his life on Earth,
My mother and father love in their eyes,
Those days are a like that has now gone dry,
I close my time machine as i lay in my bed,
I smiled to feel young again at least in my head,
I prepare to rest my eyes for they will not again wake,
no regrets just memories and one more adventure...a light...cake...
