What I Feel
They see my beauty
and my smile.
They see my eyes
and my side that wild.
But what they don't see
is whats under my skin
a side of me that can never win.
Memories will haunt me all my life
making me doubt the shining light.
I can fight this pain and madness all day long, but when the sun ends, and the moon begins, and the day repeats over again these sorrowful thoughts will be far from gone.
I take this to my head before I sleep that tomorrow may be bright and warm but my thoughts will stay dark, cold, and firm.
I sit and wait all year round
for fait to turn until I'm found,
and take away these memories of pain
so that that side of me can finally win
and I can be one with myself again.
