Waves
Under the waves the tide pulls,
the sands churn endlessly, restlessly.
The crabs scuttle to avoid human feet,
whose scalded heels burrow blissfully.
Above the waves the sky awakes,
spreading its arms wide to embrace the full day.
The sun cleanses and the winds soothe,
and a human absorbs it, yields to its sway.
In the water a miracle occurs,
as tiny molecules mix with tears.
They somehow ensure that the world lives on,
loving and being year after year.
