Red, white and blue
Not a cloth I pledge to
But the lines that pull
My words out of my hand.
Or is it the heart that draws my rhyme?
Red, white and blue
Not an idea I look to
But the colors I see
When this ink
Begins to bleed
The shade of my soul.
Red, white and blue- -
The only thing I’m a patriot to
Is you.
