She looks out the window.
Reaches her hand
To the sky,
The trees,
The people laughing
As they skip along the sidewalk.
Her hand stops
Just before it reaches the window.
She sees her reflection,
A pale apparition that lives
Inside another world
With a ghostly face
And a sad smile.
