Lost Causes
A frightful dream,
inspiring fear in
a pair of saddened eyes,
representing another lost cause
which is effortlessly forgotten…
Sometimes, when the pathway diverges,
there is no correct passage.
Though there may be no real destination either,
the recovering of faith is what the journey is about.
The epiphany is hope is often lost at times.
The fear is never being able
to touch upon hope again.
At the diverging point.
Rain falls spiritlessly from the sky and
neither path is chosen.
Trudging through the fallen leaves and brambles
a new indirect path has been created,
with an unknown endpoint.
It may be another lost cause,
but there is a sign of hope,
the glistening sparkle in the rain drops
cling onto the face of the wanderer
as the journey continues,
shimmering beautifully the whole way.
