Shady Boy
My stubbornness is gone when it comes to you,
As you break me down like nobody else I know.
The memories flood my mind
As they surround my heart.
Weakening what used to be strong morals.
And now, I sweat over every word that is exchanged
Not knowing where it will lead, or how it will end
But as I begin not to care, I can’t help but believe everything you say.
Now, as usual, you fade into someone else
Your figure is all distorted
And by the next day, everything has changed
Rearranged was your heart, as you slept,
And as I dreamt of the day that there’d be no more shade.
