We Can Start a Revolution
We can start a revolution in our back yard,
climb trees and laugh when we tumble to the ground,
landing gracefully on our kneecaps.
We will reach for the highest branches,
watch the way the ivy wraps gently around the softened wooden bark
and how the sun light puts the whole world out of focus.
But it only just rained, the trees are not really greener,
the sun is not any brighter than it was yesterday
and this is only love by comparison.
