Over and Over
Over and over I constantly denied
The very simple truth, that was left for me to find
I thought we’d be back again, soon
Once again, one and one shall be two
But then yet again my stupidity denied
The very simple truth that soon I had to find
That I’d never get my valentine
My angel had left, never to be mine
But hell, how was I supposed to know?
That the ones we cherished, were the first to go?
And that nothing would ever stay the same
As the regrets and knowledge begin to rain
Ignorance is truly blessed, and I denied
The one simple fact that made me blind
She had left never to return
My angel was gone
And my heart never learned
