Riding a Bike in the Springtime
I found thee on a breezy springy day
With a passion I gave in to sweating
It was persistence where the source had lay
Pain, seemed as if the sun were not setting
When all was lost, just a push was needed
As if to grasp thee, my arms reach’d the sky
T’was a test of self; I had succeeded
I could now send my fears with a goodbye
The seedling had turn’d into an oak tree
Thanks to thy aid, I am one with my fear
With cowardice I shall refuse to flee
My happiness tells others to steer clear
For what have I traveled to reach this length?
I have learned, hope, to fly is to have strength
