Love is Our Savior
As a child we grow up on fairytales,
The real world hidden behind thick veils.
Spoon-fed false securities,
Empty hopes, illusory dreams.
While carelessly pursuing happiness
We reach a dark cloud, a greedy abyss.
Our entire being screams - begging, pleading.
Wondering what we did to deserve needless beating.
Our will begins to fall apart.
No one said this would be so hard.
Yet even while in such pain,
We are convinced these demons will be slain.
If you were to observe the darkness in our mind,
There would be a pinprick of light – warm and kind.
See, the heart and mind work together,
Creating love, which is all we live for.
