Awakening
Awakening:
Your pretty mouth
And how you could make me feel like I
Hadn’t been real in years.
How strongly I long for the
Push and pull of you like
Tides and so on.
Morning light that is
Never enough to
Illuminate you
The way you deserve.
We let it seep through the blinds anyway
And repent
And repent.
“What’s one more dance?”
said the fox to the rabbit
“only if you lead,”
replied the rabbit.
