Chocolate Chip Cookies

I want to bake cookies with you,
Chocolate chip cookies.
I want to debate politics,
Chat about right and wrong
While we mix flour and butter,
Eggs and milk.
I want us to eat the chocolate chips together,
Right out of the bag,
By throwing them into each toerh's open mouths.
I want to have a flour fight
In the middle of my kitchen
And have to clean it up together,
Laughing the whole time.
I want to bake chocolate chip cookies with you,
And devour every one of them while we discuss poverty,
And kiss the bits of chocolate off your chin
While we confess our deepest secrets.
I want to put away the mixer and lick ever last bit of batter
Out of the bowl with you, fighting over the last drop.
I want to kiss you goodbye and know that this is just the beginning.
The beginning of the recipe;
The recipe of you and me.
