A Week of Freedom
Spring break comes around only once a year.
In March students can’t wait until it’s here.
They stay in their beds for most of the day,
But right after that they go out to play.
Little kids are monkeys running down streets.
Mothers struggle to get them home to eat.
Spring’s when the birds start to sing all day long
With the sight of green grass on every lawn.
Sensational smells of spring in the air.
Teens sleep so much they hibernate like bears.
The barbeques on the grill smell so good
I would stay out for the week if I could.
Going to pops to get an ice cream cone.
During spring break you don’t want to go home.
