Guardians
The Raven cries in the dark tonight
So lonely and so full of fright
 Tormented night and day
 By regrets and memories

The Panther prowls in the night
Seeking out a beacon of light
In awe of the lunar shine
Out of reach, out of mind

The Snake slithers in the shadows
Waiting and watching inside of hollows
Listening for clues and whisper sounds
For no one checks if it's around

The Wolf howls to Mother Moon
Far from a any joyful tune
Step into light to see that all is dark
Is enough to extinguish that light-spirited spark

The Owl perches in it's tree
A place where it can clearly see
The Raven whom no one could hear
And the Panther that believes itself mere
The Snake who drowns in low self esteem
And the Wolf who forgot to even believe
The Owl hoots softly into the night
Telling the wind that all will be right
