The youthful innocence of love
How can love lost long ago
Ring like a continuous impressionable echo?
A thing of beauty changed like that,
this wonderful dream that won’t come back.
She said she was hurt by my actions,
Then she left to join corrupt factions
Of those who changed her to be like them
To be changed forever unlike then,
When we used to laugh and we used to cry
“The love” she told me “will never die”
How can love lost so long ago
ring like a continuous impressionable echo?
