Open Minded
As I sit, ready for what is to come;
to be an open book, ready to be written.
As the writer speaks aloud, my mind becomes
a dry sponge, soon to be soaked and fulfilled.
I walk away reading aloud what I've been written
for, as you follow the pages you start fill those short stories
to soon come.
Once you've finished the book, you've reached the end,
your life becomes a closed book, locked up forever.
Knowing your duty was finished, leaving a world behind,
knowing you helped write it, leaving it a better place.
