Love Kills
I have loved you so; it’s been plain to see;
But such love you never had for me.
I have longed for you ever since we met,
And I was determined, my mind was set.
Yet frighten you off, though I did not,
You wouldn’t even spare me a second thought.
You left me open and broken upon a shelf,
You left me as a shadow of my former self.
Even though you left me, I was not alone,
And I found a new place to call my home.
A place of those who were left and forsaken,
And from each one, a similar toll was taken.
We wept through the days till our souls were healed,
Yet as my soul mended, something else was revealed.
Something from the far corner of my heart,
And it taught to me, a new kind of art.
The art of revenge, darkness and hate,
now my vengeance simply cannot wait.
They’ve tried to tell me, it is just part of the pain,
But every word that they utter is forever in vain.
Now I hunt for the one who left me here,
I sense your presence, I know you’re near.
When I find you, I will savor the thrill,
And stop at nothing until I finish the kill.
