The Track Meet
October 12, 2008
The runners go racing by,
Trying to be the very first,
You can hear their hearts beating a thousand times per second,
A boom, boom, boom, boom
Their feet go stomping by,
Thump, thu- thump, thump
And then they cross the finish line,
Everyone yelling ,
“Whoo, Yeah, Way to go!”
And then its all over your spotlight is gone
