Noise is an interference or distraction to one’s soul, as are comments intended to abuse the heart. Each winter, snow covers all that has been stated or done, but also leaves the eyes with bare scenes of life to come. Seconds are put to a stop during this time of forgetting and flashbacks of distraught moments are put in slow motion. The soul mourns the feelings killed in battle. The mind ponders all words left unspoken. Thoughts of vengeance and anger run unstoppable through these veins. Puffed clouds overflowing with rain, but unable to cry. Winter seasons try to pretend nothing has happened in previous time. As the last leaf drops, moments that seem present become history as new battles will begin. All feelings go numb as the clouds unleash rain; the soul hears this steady beat…then begins to weep.
