Battle Field
The earth shakes, the ground screams.
The yells of the fallen,
and the screeches of the wounded.
Remind us that War has
taken the land and laid it’s black shadow
over the soil.
Men dressed to separate their side
but can’t accept their brethren..
The booms and bangs consume the air,
With an everlasting echo heard around the world.
The roar of the cannons,
Leaving smolder in the air
bet the men to the ground
limbs taking flight
a man lying on the blacken earth,
preying and pleading to his creator
The soil streams with blood,
The heavens wail.
Chanting” deliver us from war, deliver us from pain,
deliver us freedom, and save us from death.”
The strong have become the wounded
with a heart as strong as iron.
The weak cower under their own roofs for shelter.
But where they stand is their deathbeds.
Every man must fight in determination and deliverance.
Men, women, children shed tears of remembrance,
loss and mourning.
But should there be hate?
You can despise, dislike or detest, but not hate.
If there was ever such men with hearts of stone
the world would be full of hate.
The battles of evil and good, hell and heaven,
Are a circle that connects us to one another.
We stand on different ends of the world
but when united we are one.
