Unsharpened Pencil
I drag my unsharpened pencil across the page,
The ghastly sound makes my eardrums rage.
I feel every hair on my arm stand up, I flinch
I think, “Slowly and carefully, inch by inch.”
Nails on a chalkboard, a fork on glass,
No horrid sound on the earth can surpass
The unsharpened pencil, it brings so much pain,
It certainly one day will drive me insane.
