Understanding What I Can't See
She’s in pain,
And I can’t physically help her.
She’s stuck in this pouring rain,
But I can’t so much as shield her.

I can see her crying all alone,
 She can’t seem to stop.
You can hear her crushing sadness in her tone.
And I can see her braving the storm on the mountain top.

I want to take her place,
I want to be the one trying to withstand it.
I want to stare pain in the face,
And tell it to go away forever and to burn to ashes in a hollow pit.
