Manhattan
He said we’re going
to grow up
together,
Past heartache,
And live happily.
He said maybe we’ll go to Manhattan.
He says we are happy.
He says we’re going
to love, and cry, and sleep
together,
and we wont care what they say,
Or how they say it,
Because we’re meant to be,
Like winters first snowfall.
I said we’re going
To fall apart;
But we’ll fall apart together,
Past heartbreak,
to a place we cant see.
I said I don’t believe in magic.
I said that happy was a strong word.
I say we should start over.
I say we go to Manhattan.
