Death
Ending a story
A period at the end of a sentence.
Every story, holds a different ending
Some stories trail on,
and on,
and on, until
nothing is left and they
fade, like the morning mist
Some we can see coming
We sense the nearness
and yet we aren’t really prepared
when the story ends
Some end almost before they begin
End in the first sentences
When no one expects.
leaving, weeping
sadness
and loss
behind
