Fly Away
I just lost my breath,
Floating high above,
Catching rides,
Upon doves.
Jumping off,
Immune to gravity,
Soaring high above,
I'm flying-I'm free!
I can see clouds,
All things becoming small,
Looking down,
Formations of crowds.
Cameras, and a news crew,
All of them wish to fly too.
I am a butterfly,
A winged bird,
A love song,
Sung without a word.
Sweet music plays,
The higher I soar,
Never again will these feet touch the floor.
I'm flying away,
Yet my heart is at home,
A giggle and a grin,
Then I fly a little higher.
