The Champion
A champion is never born, but made
Practices are crucial on holidays
Yet the pain endured is never portrayed.
Mature quick, being a kid gets delayed
Balancing life, school, and sports is a maze
A champion is never born, but made
Sore muscles are an unending crusade
Plus a sister and grades you are forced to raise
Yet the pain endured is never portrayed.
Scholarships prance around in your brain always
So in big games you never fail to amaze
A champion is never born, but made
Vile people’s comments hit like a grenade
But you claim to be perfect anyways
Yet the pain endured is never portrayed.
Nothing dreadful would happen if you prayed
Even so I feel constantly decayed
A champion is never born, but made
Yet the pain endured is never portrayed.
