Give
It contains the taint of hunger
Spoiling the lunch
We were ceased to munch
The mold proliferated the next table
It was a silent sound
With crickets chirping
Interrupted by burping
But the laughter didn't last too long
Our minds connected
The idea poured into the cup
We proceeded to pack up
And drop our bins into the Hunger Slot
The cafeteria emptied
Hallways stirred
With stomachs that transferred
And spoke of the charity that happened
Because who could eat
Staring at a sign
That had a certain design
To remind us of starvation elsewhere
My good deed of the day, is to say
Goodbye peanut butter and jelly
Fill up someone else's belly
I'll live until dinner
