The Young One
All she sees are her mother’s eyes
glowing and wondering with fright
from both of them are only cries
they want to believe that she’s not a lie,
there is no way to do so without sight
from both of them are only cries
why even try when there are only black skies
but that night something did not turn out right
all she sees are her mother’s eyes
butterflies lifted her up to the skies
it was at that point when she felt might
but from both of them are only cries
dark ones tell her only lies
then everything bursted and there was no light
all she sees are her mother’s eyes
from both of them are just cries
