Was I Wrong?

Maybe I was wrong
Wrong because not everyday has a birdsong
I thought you'd be there and someday I could say what happened
This time life has dealt me a crap hand
It's a possibility that things will lighten up
Although afterwards everything will be dark and you have to checkup
Checkup on my every emotion and I'll continuously say "I'm fine"
Soon I'll have to undermine
Undermine all feeling as soon as I finish my painting
A painting that contains everything including my assertiveness training
