Two Sides
There are two sides to me. I know them both, others do not.
Some know me as the Mossy Oak camo pattern:
Blending in like a silent, stalking hunter,
a chameleon changing colors, smoothly sinking into it’s backdrop,
a single stick standing in the brush.
I feel humble and to myself; taking in what’s around me.
Some know me as blaze orange:
A deer hunter perched in a tree, wanting to be seen,
loud and pronounced like a screaming siren,
a dominant turkey, strutting for the ladies.
I’m confident here, comfortable with my surroundings.
I don’t know if these go best apart, or hand-in-hand.
But I think…
Maybe both is happening at the same time.
