The Disastrous Kitchen

In a kitchen war with evenings glow
Sweet Mary danced in aprons grace
A culinary dream in mind
The joy of a homey space
With pots and pans, a rhythmic song
It echoed through the air
Yet, drowsy lullabies played aloud
Embracing a world unfair
The crackle of chaos, the blaze's might
Mary stirred in a dream filled trance
The dance of fire, a marvelous scene
Awoken to a lucky chance
Her eyes widened and fear entwined
Smoke cured in a deadly waltz
In the midst of danger, her courage weak
She dialed th digits, a deseperat pulse.
